Cody Haddock
Director of Bands [email protected] Cody Haddock is the Director of Bands at Granbury High School where his responsibilities include conducting the Wind Ensemble, the Marching Band, and overseeing all other instrumental ensembles in Granbury ISD. Before coming to Granbury in 2024, Mr. Haddock helped lead the Colleyville Heritage Band alongside Gary Barnard for 4 years, and the Carter Riverside Band for 5 years. Over his career, his ensembles have received numerous awards both on stage and in stadiums, including UIL State Marching Band Finalists, Bands of America Regional Finalists, Mark of Excellence and Citation of Excellence National and Commended Winners, and more. The Colleyville Heritage Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the Music for All National Festival in 2024. Mr. Haddock is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and the University of North Texas. While at UNT, Mr. Haddock was fortunate to study with outstanding percussionists and perform with various ensembles including the Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Indoor Drumline, and the Green Brigade Marching Band. Cody has also been involved with Drum Corps International, having marched snare drum with the Boston Crusaders and the Santa Clara Vanguard. In 2014, he was named as the Outstanding Individual Snare drummer when we won the PASIC Snare Solo Competition. Cody is an owner of Dynamix Percussion based in DFW. Dynamix is a percussion manufacturing company that is focused on executing remarkable ideas and innovations while establishing a personal connection with performers, educators, and students. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife Tori and four children, Hayden, Hannah, Hudson, and Hailey. |

Josh Crossman
Assistant Director, Director of Jazz Studies [email protected] Josh Crossman is in his second year as an Assistant Band Director at Granbury High School where he conducts the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band Brass, and assists with all other ensembles. The Symphonic Band was named a 2025 Commended Winner of the Citation of Excellence. Prior to starting his career in education, Mr. Crossman graduated from Texas Christian University, where he participated in the Wind Symphony, Tuba-Euphonium Studio, and Euphonium Quartet. During his time at TCU, He also performed with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and is a native of the DFW area. |

Lindsey Byrom
Assistant Director [email protected] Lindsey Byrom is a Spring 2025 graduate of the University of North Texas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in music education summa cum laude. As a clarinetist, Ms. Byrom performed with the internationally acclaimed North Texas Wind Symphony under the direction of Eugene Corporon. She was also honored with the 2024 Spirit of North Texas Award for her leadership and contributions to the UNT Green Brigade Marching Band. Her responsibilities with Granbury HS include teaching the Concert Band, the Marching Band Woodwinds, and assisting with all other ensembles. |

Chad Murray
Assistant Director, Director of Percussion [email protected] Chad Murray has been a dedicated educator since 2009, teaching percussion throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, most recently serving at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller ISD. His experience extends from North Carolina and Virginia, where he worked with several notable programs including Hickory High School (VA) Corinth Holders High School (NC), Green Hope High School (NC), and Alchemy Independent Percussion. Beyond high school ensembles, Mr. Murray’s notable teaching opportunities include serving with the Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, Vigilantes Indoor Percussion, Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Murray holds a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E. '15) from Old Dominion University and a Master of Music Education (M.M.E. '26) from Texas Tech University. He is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and serves on the Marching and Rudimental Percussion Committee, striving to bridge contemporary and traditional styles. He is an educational artist for Innovative Percussion, Remo Drumheads, Zildjian Cymbals, and Dynasty Drums USA. While his professional life is dedicated to music education, Chad finds his greatest joy in moments spent with his wife Kylie, their children Cooper and Chandler, and their Golden Lab/Retriever Poe. |
